When State Farm’s underwriting team decided not to renew the policy due to a $24,000 claim within six months of the policy start date, we contacted you as soon as we learned—before the official letter was even mailed—so we could explain what was happening and help you explore other coverage options if needed. Other insurance companies would not have done that and just mailed you a letter. To reach our customers we utilize calls, text, and email. Since you replied back to us by text, we continued the conversation that way to communicate as quickly as possible and to respect your preference. We understand your frustration with the non-renewal decision, but that decision is made at the corporate underwriting level—not by our local office. We truly believe the service and support we provided does not align with a 1-star rating."
